6th Annual Educational Foundation Golf Classic

Thanks to all those who made the 6th Annual Educational Foundation Golf Classic a success. This year’s classic was held on September 19, 2000, at the Sheraton Colonial Hotel & Golf Club in Wakefield, MA. The weather was perfect, the course was fantastic and our 64 golfers had a grand time.

After a day of fun and sun on the links, the score cards were tabulated and it was determined that the foursome of Dave Walker, Steve Lavelle, Kevin Classey and Jim Crighton (all from dmc2) finished 6 under par for the win. Bob Osman of Kyocera Industrial Ceramics won the “Closest to the pin” award for men, while Pat Palm of HiRel Products, Inc., was victorious for women. Scott Opperhauser of Trace Laboratories - East and Susan Brown won the longest drive contest for men and women, respectively. Keith Chalman of Chalman Technologies won the Longest Putt competition. Congratulations to this year’s winners.

This year’s classic was able to raise over $5,000 for the IMAPS Educational Foundation. We would like to take this time to thank our gracious hole sponsors: Accu-Tech Laser Processing, Inc., BTU International, CoorsTek, dmc2, EMCA-REMEX, Emerson & Cuming, Laserage Technology Corp., PennWell, Presidio Components, Inc., Technic, Inc. and Toshiba America Electronic Components for their continuing commitment to the IMAPS Educational Foundation. We would also like to thank BTU International, CoorsTek, dmc2, Heraeus Incorporated-Circuit Materials Division, Laserage Technology Corp., Speedline Technologies MPM/Camelot/Electrovert, and Technic, Inc. for their donations of prizes and “goodie” bag items. Your commitment to the industry’s future is remarkable.

A special thanks goes to Dave Owens, IMAPS 2000 Golf Chair, for all of his hard work and time spent, to make the 6th Annual Educational Foundation Golf Classic a huge success.

Thanks again to all those who participated and sponsored this year’s golf classic. Without your help we could not have made such a large donation to the Educational Foundation. Hope to see everyone help continue the success at IMAPS 2001 in Baltimore!

THANK YOU dmc2

The IMAPS Educational Foundation would like to extend a grateful thank you to dmc2 for hosting the IMAPS Educational Foundation Reception at IMAPS 2000. Its support of the Foundation and the students, the history of our industry, is truly special. As always the evening was filled with great food, fun and fellowship.

Thank you to all for the generous donations made by chapters, companies and individuals of IMAPS who made this year's Foundation Reception a huge success. Over $13,000 was raised for educational grants this year from donations at the reception. Thank you to everyone who participated at IMAPS 2000.

You made this happen...
