CHICAGO/MILWAUKEE CHAPTER The Chicago/Milwaukee Chapter of IMAPS held its 2001 Symposium and Vendors Day on Wednesday, April 4. The event was held at the Schaumburg Golf Club in Schaumburg, Illinois. The full day event featured 3 technical sessions and 23 vendor tables. The technical session topics included Screen Printing, Polymer Interconnects, Metallic Interconnects, Modeling/Predictions and Reliability. The Chapter would like to thank all those who made this year's Symposium and Vendors Day a success. FLORIDA CHAPTER The Florida Chapters of IMAPS and SMTA joined together to sponsor a Joint Symposium and Vendors Day on Tuesday, March 20. The event was held at the Four Points Sheraton Hotel located in Orlando, Florida. Over 95 people attended the full day event, which featured a half-day Technical Symposium (which included 14 presenters), a Speakers’ Luncheon, 30 Vendor Tables, Student Poster Papers and free hors d’oeuvres for all attendees. Kristen Boyce, President of the IMAPS Florida Chapter, was presented a plaque for her hard work and dedication to the IMAPS Florida Chapter. INDIANA CHAPTER - The Indiana Chapter held its annual joint IMAPS/SMTA Vendors Day and Mini-Symposium at the Indianapolis Airport Holiday Inn on Monday, April 2. Attendance was high for the afternoon event, which featured two concurrent technical programs, highlighting the newest topics from both IMAPS and SMTA. The evening Vendors Display was filled with wandering attendees. Thanks to all those who donated door prizes for this annual event. ROCKY MOUNTAIN CHAPTER The Rocky Mountain Chapter of IMAPS held its Spring 2001 Technical Meeting on March 15. The meeting was held at the Manufacturing Academy/HEAT Center in Denver, Colorado. Over 50 people attended the full day event which featured 9 Technical Presentations and Luncheon Demonstrations. The topic of discussion was Lead Free Soldering. The Chapter would like to thank Chuck Bauer, Meeting Chair, for his hard work and to JLR, The Engineering Solutions Company, for sponsoring this meeting.
