David Doubledee Joins HTA PHOTOMASK
HTA Photomask has announced that David Doubledee, formerly of LSI Photomask, has joined the firm as Vice President and General Manager at the San Jose, CA, location. Mr. Doubledee has over 30 years of experience in semiconductor photomask making. He has held many technical and managerial jobs in the industry and held a guest teaching position at Arizona State University in the new Microlithography program. He has served on various technical advisory boards including SEMI and the University of New Mexico.
Firmstone THERMOSET Opens THERMOSET Office in the United Kingdom
Mike Firmstone has joined Thermoset, Lord Chemical Products, as European Regional Sales Manager and will head the new office in the UK. Firsmstone brings over 30 years of experience to the company and has served as General Manager for EMCA in Cambridge, UK, Processing Manager for ICI Electronics in Liverpool, UK, and most recently as Global Manager for Multicore Solders' Advanced Products Division near London.
GANNON & SCOTT Purchases Handy & Harman's Phoenix Facility
Gannon & Scott has announced the purchase of Handy & Harman's Refining Group's Phoenix, AZ, precious metals refining facility and equipment. The purchase greatly expands Gannon & Scott's capacity, capabilities, customer reach and range services.
The new addition immediately expands Gannon & Scott's thermal reduction capacities and adds shredding to the company's list of capabilities. The acquisition also broadens the company's electronics and industrial oriented customer and adds geographic advantages for customer service.
Ott Promoted at AMERICAN TECHNICAL CERAMICS
American Technical Ceramics has announced the promotion of David Ott to Senior Vice President, New York Operations. He has previously held positions at Great Lakes Industries, Murak and Associates and the Tam Ceramics unit of Cookson. Most recently, Mr. Ott was ATC's Vice President of New York Manufacturing and was responsible for doubling the fabricated chip output for the company's core products. He holds a BS in Ceramic Engineering from Ohio State and a MBA from Wayne State.
ES COMPONENTS Will Receive the Inventory of ELMO Semiconductor
After 25 years serving the hybrid market, ELMO Semiconductor is officially Kimball Microelectronics. This transition has included the phasing out of ELMO in the die distribution market. ELMO will be transferring its die inventory to ES Components.
The products transferred to ES Components will be integrated and put under the rigid controls of ES Components that provide environmental and ESD protection to satisfy both military and commercial applications. The goal of both companies is to give their customers continuous support under ES Component’s expanded capabilities.
