IMAPS Dedicates New World Headquarters in DC
The International Microelectronics And Packaging Society (IMAPS) & Sidney J. Stein Educational Foundation officially dedicated its new world headquarters with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on October 5, 2001, at the Society’s new location, 611 2nd St, NE, Washington, DC 20001 USA. The event was well attended by many IMAPS members and leadership, including
Dr. Peter G. Barnwell, President-Elect for 2002; and Mr. Greg Caswell, 1st Past President. Dr. James T. Cook, Past President, who spearheaded the move from the Society’s former Reston, VA, location to Washington, cut the ribbon.

Judi Greenberg, Special Assistant to the Office of the Deputy Mayor for Planning and Economic Development, represented the Office of the Mayor of Washington, DC. She was accompanied by Karina Ricks, Ward 6 Planner, Office of Planning, who liaisons with the high-tech sector of industry in the DC area.
