New facility for MICRO PRINTING SYSTEMS
Micro Printing Systems (MPS) has completed its move to a new and larger facility. MPS is in full production on their screen printers and delivery is running from one to two weeks. This facility has a full stock of parts for the Model TF100 screen printer. The key spare parts for their Model SP1500 are ready for fast delivery. MPS is looking for sales representatives for all areas and is now ready to support these efforts.

KYOCERA AMERICA Receives a Texas Instruments (TI) 2001 Supplier Excellence Award (SEA)
The SEA, given annually, honors firms whose dedication and commitment in supplying products and services meet TI’s high standards. Recipients are an elite group of suppliers chosen for excellence in the combined areas of Cost, Environmental Responsibility, Technology, Responsiveness, Assurance of Supply and Quality. Out of 38,000 TI suppliers, only 29 received this award for 2001.

PALOMAR Launches New European Sales Team
Palomar Technologies has increased its sales force in Europe. The new team is headed by Burkhard Habbe, European Sales Manager. Regional Sales Managers are Martin Brandl for German-speaking countries, Benelux, and Italy, with David Mudd focusing on a strong UK market.
NATIONAL STARCH Acquires Honeywell Advanced Polymers Business
National Starch has announced that it has acquired selected product lines and technologies from the Advanced Polymers business of Honeywell. The lines will be combined with Ablestik Laboratories and National Starch’s electronic and engineering materials division and will increase the company’s position in the growing underfill market.
CARBORUNDUM Changes Name
Carborundum Corp., Microelectronics has changed its name to Saint-Gobain Advanced Ceramics, Microelectronics. The name change was instituted to better reflect the company’s operation as a business unit of Saint-Gobain.

Dollman Appointed CERAMTEC Executive V.P.
Walt Dollman has been appointed Executive Vice President of CeramTec and will concentrate his efforts on Sales and Marketing for the company. Previously, Dollman served as Director of Sales and Marketing for Dielectric Laboratories along with several management positions at CeramTec. Dollman has been involved with IMAPS for many of his 22 years in our industry.
MULTICORE Relocates to California
Multicore Solders, a division of Loctite, will move its manufacturing technical support and customer service center to a new facility in Industry, California, during the second half of 2001. The new facility will allow Multicore to better meet the time-needs of the microelectronics industry.

Jennie Hwang Receives National/International Honors
Jennie Hwang is president and CEO of H-Technologies Group Inc., Cleveland. An authority in the fields of solder and surface-mount technology, Hwang created H-Technologies to provide solutions to the electronics/microelectronics interconnec- tion industry. Hwang has been named to the National Academy of Engineering and the Women in Technology International Hall of Fame.
