COORSTEK Awarded ISO Certification

CoorsTek, Inc., has been awarded ISO 9001 certification for its CVD silicon carbide operation in Benton, AR. PURE SiC™ CVD silicon carbide, is a high purity, full density silicon carbide produced through chemical vapor deposition. PURE SiC components are primarily used in semiconductor manufacturing equipment for processes such as deposition, etching and rapid thermal processing. Adding the capability to produce CVD silicon carbide enhances the Company's ability to meet the semiconductor capital equipment industry's growing demand for high-technology materials.

GHz Technology Selects PALOMAR

Palomar Technologies has been selected by GHz Technology to help meet growing demands for its products in the cellular and PCS arena. In addition to using Palomar's high-precision automated die-attach and wire bonding equipment, GHz recently added the new HotRail RFA machine to its assembly line.

New Market Managers at DEXTER

Hui Wang has joined Dexter Electronic Materials as Market Manager for the company's semiconductor molding compound products. Previously Mr. Wang worked for Kester Solder where he had technical and marketing responsibilities. He holds a B.S. in Chemistry and a M.S. in Polymer Science from Fudan University in Shanghai, China.

John Cain has joined Dexter as Market Manager for the electronic formulated liquids product line. Mr. Cain previously worked at Henkel KgaA and was most recently Sales Manager for the ResTech-Biwax Group in Des Plaines, IL. He holds a B.A. from Judson College and a MBA from Aurora University.

Jerry Sergent Consultant

Dr. Jerry Sergent is providing consulting services to the electronics industry in the general area of electronic packaging, including design, thick film, and thin film, SMT, materials, process technology, thermal management, and marketing. Dr. Sergent has more than 30 years of experience in electronic packaging, has authored two books and over 70 technical papers. He can be reached at 606-528-9650.

GANNON & SCOTT Appoints Two New Managers in Phoenix

Gannon & Scott has announced two new appointments at its Phoenix, AZ, precious metal processing facility. Peter Dryden is now Business and Customer Development Manager. For the past four years Dryden has served as Vice President of Operations. Christopher Jones has been named Vice President of Operations at the Phoenix plant. Jones was the Vice President of Operations at the company's Cranston, RI, facility.
