7th Annual IMAPS Educational Foundation Golf Classic
Thank you to the sponsors and the participants who suffered through the long frost delay to make the 7th Annual IMAPS Educational Foundation Golf Classic a success. This year’s classic was held on October 8th, 2001, at the Greystone Golf Course in White Hall, MD. The weather was wonderful, once the sun finally came up, and the course was breathtaking. What a wonderful escape it was from the city for our 50 golfers.
Once the morning, and part of the afternoon, concluded, everyone gathered in the clubhouse for a lovely catered luncheon. The scores were tabulated and in the end, the foursome of Kevin Clossey, Jim Crighton, Steve Lavelle, and David Walker walked away with the victory with a score of 5-under, 67. Tom Dolan Jr. won the “Closest to the Pin” award for men, while Judi Eicher was victorious for the women. The “Longest Drive” contest winners were Gordon Peterson for the men and Susan Brown for the women. Bob Osmun won the “Longest Putt” competition. Congratulations to all of this year’s winners.
This year’s classic was able to raise over $3,000 for the IMAPS Educational Foundation. We would like to take this time to thank our gracious hole sponsors: Advanced Packaging Pennwell, Avid Associates, Inc., CoorsTek, Inc., Ferro EM, Laserage Technology Corp., Presidio Components, Inc., SierraTherm, Technic, Inc. and Trace Laboratories East for their continuing commitment to the IMAPS Educational Foundation. We would also like to thank Ferro EM, Kyocera America, Inc., Accu-Tech Laser Processing and BTU International for their donations of prizes and “goodie” bag items. Your commitment to the industry’s future is remarkable.
A special thanks goes to Keith Sellers, IMAPS 2001 Golf Chair, for all of his time and hard work spent planning and organizing the event, to make the 7th Annual IMAPS Educational Foundation Golf Classic a huge success.
Thanks again to all of the participants and sponsors of this year’s golf classic. Without all of your help we could not have raised such a significant amount of money for the Foundation. Hope to see everyone help continue the success at IMAPS 2002 in Denver!
