IMAPS '02

From the General Chair

As General Chair for IMAPS 2002-Denver, I want to thank you for supporting IMAPS. I would personally like to invite you Colorado.

Consider this your “Special Invitation” to spend the Labor Day weekend in Colorado. The exciting 35th International Symposium on Microelectronics is in Denver, September 3rd — 6th. We have a number of special opportunities in store for you.

  • Denver is conveniently located, air service is frequent and nonstop flights are available to all major cities in North America, several European cities, and one-stop service to the Pacific Rim. Also feel free to ride the train to Denver. Amtrak service is available from most major cities within the United States and Canada.
  • Denver is a great city to visit. It has western history, sports (golf, baseball and football will be in season), museums, a Seven Flags Amusement Park for the kids (there’s a little kid in all of us), microbreweries, and a wonderful set of pre-show activities.
  • Like the outdoors? There are plenty of resorts (hiking, camping), dude ranches for urban cowboys, challenging fishing, outdoor activities galore. What better place than Colorado and the fantastic Rocky Mountain National Park?
  • Like car racing? We offer you a Monty Carlo CART race in Denver right before the show and an automotive track at the symposium.
  • Like trains? We offer you the Colorado’s Narrow Gage railroads including the Georgetown Loop, Durango to Silverton, Cumbres & Toltec railroads.
  • Like site seeing? We offer the Air Force Academy, NORAD, Mount Evans, Pikes Peak and 50 other 14K’ers and the most spectacular natural scenery in the nation.
  • Like to be a cowboy? We offer some dude ranch experiences that will allow you to ride with some of the best.
  • Like eating? Come to the Taste of Colorado and enjoy the bands and entertainment. Eat your way through the weekend and then enjoy the show — so make the most of your trip, bring the family along!

How do you partake of some or all of these offerings?

We will have a Race Package available for the Monte Carlo CART race including, tickets to the race and the race pits.

We have Mountain Package for the hiking, horseback riding and sightseeing.

We have a Dude Ranch Package for urban cowboys.

We have an “Eat till you Drop Package” for those who love food. Enjoy the Taste of Colorado and stay at the Adam’s Mark for the weekend.

If you’re interested in more of them it will take more than a weekend. However, come earlier and enjoy.

Interested in a wider selection of them, or all of them, contact IMAPS headquarters. We will help arrange your trip.

Got questions? Call IMAPS Headquarters 202-548-4001 and reserve your spot today.

Mark your calendars, pack up the family, and join us for Colorado fun on Labor Day Weekend. Remember to stay for the Microelectronics Gold Rush at the 35th International Symposium on Microelectronics in Denver, September 4-6, 2002.

Microelectronics Gold Rush?

Remember, the IMAPS symposium. Here are some of the Symposium opportunities and why you should attend the 35th International Symposium on Microelectronics in Denver.

Just in case you forgot, IMAPS is a key combination of Industry Suppliers, Product Designers, Process Professions, and Education Institutions that provide information and educational opportunities to Microelectronic Packaging professionals. Future requirements demand that we work together to meet an ever-expanding need for reduced size, specialized shapes, increased speed, and lower power requirements. Development of new process technologies will continue at a rapid rate. Without you, we cannot succeed in providing new technology forums, information sharing, material and equipment advances and education opportunities to our members.

· Denver is located in the center of a large concentration of hi-tech companies with a tremendous potential for attendees. The Colorado Convention Center is a first class exhibit facility, conveniently located near all IMAPS events. We will have the facility ready for you.

· Denver will incorporate work from both cutting-edge and traditional areas of microelectronics into the program for this year’s symposium. We will also add a Photonics and Automotive theme in 2002.

· Denver has a wide range of professional development classes available to improve your effectiveness in the industry.

· Denver will have key professionals from Industry and Education at the symposium. This is your opportunity to interface with other professionals in Microelectronics, renew acquaintances and develop new contacts.

See you in Denver for the 35th International Symposium on Microelectronics
